From now until 13th Jan, 2013 we, alongside many of our great recommendations, are taking submissions for our competition ‘Inspired London‘. The art competition entries will feature as part of our KNOW MORE festival on Feruary 10th.
Submissions are welcome from any discipline and experience level and those chosen will be showcased in our all-day indoor festival at the amazing Drink, Shop & Do (10th Feb, 2013) with the finalists and winners featured at an evening private view at FOLD Gallery with help from Kim Savage, formerly of Saatchi Gallery (24th Feb, 2013).
Winners will also have their work featured in the amazing Fourth & Main, Online Saatchi Gallery Magazine Art & Music, MACS Magazine, Sleek, SUITCASE and TMRW online as well as win print editions of the beautiful magazine.
For those wanting to submit work please register your interest with our lovely curator, Alex Moore (a very talented illustrator herself) by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Londoners will also be able to take home a piece of the wonderful artwork thanks to all pieces displayed at KNOW MORE and at the private view becoming part of the silent auction held across both events.
On the 10th February everything comes together at KNOW MORE thanks to Live & UNamplified, Sofar Sounds, Stamp the Wax and Young & Lost Club. These amazing partners will each host a live act of great musical talent. There will also be about 10 DJ’s, street food like Venezuelan Arepas and Alligator wraps, free tequila and rum tastings, and £4 cocktail specials. Drink, Shop & Do will be doing their incredible afternoon teas and crafts as well. Come & Rhyme With Me’s Deanna Rodger (UK Slam Champion 2008) and Dean Atta (winner of London Poetry award, 2012) will host the evening’s antics. DJ slots from the likes of Being There, Give Them, Relative, Thumpers & Southern Hospitality. More info to come shortly!
P.S. HUGE thank you to Casual Freak for the fantastic artwork!
