Owned by the co-founder of London’s infamous Fabric nightclub, The Old Queen’s Head knows how to have good time; DJs, live music, comedy shows and pub quizzes are the few of many things on offer not forgetting the karaoke room to hire for £20 per hour. Entry is free most days except Fridays and Saturdays at around £4 before 8pm and the food from the seasonal pub menu is served until 9pm on Sundays and 10pm all other nights. The room upstairs also holds great (usually ticketed) events such as an all day festival courtesy of another TSL recommendation – Mess Around Productions.

Finally, TSL would like to praise The Old Queen’s Head for solving a re-occurring pub problem: not enough seating when with a sizeable group of people. Fortunately they have loads of it and with a tasteful rock-chick décor to match this place it definitely worth a visit. P.S. They take reservations.
