To all single Londoners TSL recommends making Slagbox part of your going out calendar. A super fun night with the subtle aim to revive our love lives in a highly unusual way. Big thank you to Jacqueline and Tahita, whose one-off conversation about the mediocre state of their love lives back in 2011, led them to set it up.
Here’s how it works:
On arrival, you each get a number and whilst chatting to friends you’re single wondering eyes will naturally float to others in the room. It’s at this point where you make the most of a unique opportunity. Instead of bearing the shame of getting rejected when heading over to chat-up your potential mate or regretting that you never had the guts to make a move in the first place tonight, the one and only ‘slagbox’ comes to the rescue. By simply writing a comment about your love interest and carefully placing it in the box, ready to be read out during one of the rounds, number 4 will find out that number 11 is interested and wants to know more. No names, no shame just a 21st century re-vamped version of Cilla Black’s Blind Date.
How good is that!
